Doug's passion for the old west and our Indian Heritage is an ingrained part of his personality. He shares this passion with everyone he meets.

Building a Western Town has been a large part of Doug's life for the past few years. He does not just do western paintings, he also is working on his first book of his time in Vietnam serving as a combat artist. Some of the drawings are on his website that will be in the book THE SUN DOESN'T SHINE EVERYDAY. Between painting, writing, working on the old west town, art shows and seminars, he spends much of his time with his main love, his family and grandchildren.
Many of his paintings, along with other artists paintings, are of his family and friends taken during his DEEP IN THE ART OF TEXAS PHOTO SHOOT in November.
